QUICK and EASY, Gluten-Free, Low-Glycemic and healthful Dessert!
May be made ahead and chilled, or gently warmed on low in a regular oven or microwave oven.
4 Small or 2 Large, just-ripe Bananas, peeled 1/4 Cup Zena’s Sassy Almond-Sesame Sauce (can substitute Peanut SASS)
1 Tablespoon Agave Syrup or Honey
1/8 Teaspoon Ground Cinnamon
1/4 Cup Toasted Sliced Almonds (can substitute Toasted Chopped Peanuts)
2 Tablespoons super-finely chopped Dark or Semi-Sweet Chocolate
3/4 to 1 Cup Heavy Whipping Cream
Also, Full-Fat Coconut Milk, verrry chilled, can be whipped
1/4 Teaspoon Vanilla Extract
OR – Serve over Ice cream or frozen Coconut ‘Ice Cream.’ YUM!
In a small bowl, mix the agave or honey with the SASS
Sprinkle the cinnamon over, and mix well.
Into a medium-size bowl, slice bananas into half-inch rounds.
Drizzle the SASS mixture over the bananas, and with two soft spatulas, gently lift and toss ‘til evenly coated.
Sprinkle the toasted sliced almonds (or toasted chopped peanuts) and most of the chocolate over the bananas, reserving a bit to garnish the whipped cream. Again, gently lift and toss ‘til evenly mixed.
Coax all into a serving bowl or individual bowls, and top with softly whipped cream or whipped coconut milk enhanced with pure Vanilla Extract. BIG YUM!
